Nauzet Mayor was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1980. He graduated in Fine Arts at the Universitat de Barcelona. His work has developed in a multidisciplinary way, covering topics such as new technologies in contemporary society, sculptural composition starting from the corporeal towards the extracorporeal and the concern for artistic work as a multifactorial battlefield regulated by precariousness and malpractice.
His most recent solo shows were "Pasados robados" in Casa Cultura Felanitx, "Llegar al fallo" in Galería Fran Reus (Palma), “How do you see yourself in 5 years?” In Casal Solleric (Palma), "Miseria Contemporánea” in Galeria Fran Reus or “Posados Robados” in Addaya Centre d’Art Contemporani (Mallorca). His work was also exhibited in group shows like "Personae. máscaras contra la barbárie" in Museu es Baluard (Palma), "Los trabajos estériles" in La Regenta (Las Palmas), “Miscelánea 1:1” in Bulthaup Nicolau (Palma) or “Present immediat” in Centre de Cultura Sa Nostra (Palma). He won the first prize in X Certàmen d’Art Plàstiques Dijous Bo (Inca) and first prize in IV Premio Vila de Santanyi Francisco Bernareggi d’Art Visuals (Mallorca). He lives and works in Mallorca and is represented by Galeria Fran Reus. |
